Punch Champ Health & Safety Disclaimer and Exercise Waiver

Version: 1 · Effective date: October 22, 2026

Punch Champ is real exercise. Please read all of this before you play, and every time you are unsure.

This notice is part of the Punch Champ Terms of Use. It is published by Pudgefinds LLC.

1. Not medical advice

Punch Champ is a fitness game. It is not a medical device, does not give medical advice, and does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition. Nothing in the app, including coaching tips, calorie counts, heart rate zones or the "Take a breather" reminder, replaces advice from a physician.

Talk to your doctor before you start Punch Champ or any new exercise program, especially if anything in Section 2 applies to you, you are over 40 and not used to exercise, or you have not exercised in a long time.

2. Readiness checklist (based on the PAR-Q+ approach)

Answer honestly. If you answer YES to any question, do not use Punch Champ until a physician or qualified exercise professional has told you it is safe for you.

1.Has a doctor ever said you have a heart condition or high blood pressure?
2.Do you feel pain in your chest at rest, during daily activities, or when you exercise?
3.Do you lose your balance because of dizziness, or have you lost consciousness in the last 12 months?
4.Have you been diagnosed with another chronic medical condition (other than heart disease or high blood pressure), such as diabetes, lung disease, kidney disease or a neurological condition?
5.Are you currently taking prescribed medication for a chronic medical condition?
6.Do you have a bone, joint or soft tissue problem (muscle, ligament or tendon), including in your back, neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees or ankles, that could be made worse by being more physically active?
7.Has a doctor ever said you should only do medically supervised physical activity?
8.Are you pregnant, or have you given birth in the last 6 months?
9.Have you had surgery, an injury or a concussion recently, or are you still recovering from one?
10.Do you or anyone in your family have epilepsy, or have you ever had a seizure or loss of awareness from flashing lights?

The official PAR-Q+ questionnaire is available free from the PAR-Q+ Collaboration (eparmedx.com). This list is a summary, not a substitute.

3. Stop immediately if...

Stop right away and rest if you feel any of these:

•chest pain, pressure, tightness or discomfort, or pain spreading to your arm, neck, jaw or back
•shortness of breath beyond what is normal for hard exercise, or trouble breathing
•dizziness, lightheadedness, faintness or confusion
•a racing, pounding or irregular heartbeat
•nausea, unusual sweating or sudden weakness
•sharp or sudden pain in a joint or muscle
•blurred or altered vision, twitching, or any sign of a seizure

If symptoms do not go away quickly, or you think it may be an emergency, call your local emergency number (911 in the US) right away. Punch Champ is not an emergency service and cannot call for help.

4. Special warnings

•Pregnancy: get your doctor's or midwife's approval first. Avoid ducking, twisting hard, jumping, overheating and exercise that leaves you breathless. Seated or Low-impact mode may be more suitable, but only with your provider's approval.
•Heart conditions: do not play without your cardiologist's approval. Keep efforts moderate and use a heart rate monitor if your doctor recommends one.
•High blood pressure: get medical approval, avoid holding your breath, and keep the intensity moderate.
•Recent surgery, injury or concussion: wait until your doctor clears you for this kind of movement.
•Joint, back or neck problems: use Low-impact or Seated mode, avoid movements that hurt, and stop if pain starts.
•Photosensitive epilepsy: Punch Champ has flashing effects (hit flashes, crowd camera flashes and a KO strobe). A small number of people may have a seizure from flashing lights or patterns, even without a history of epilepsy. If you or a family member has epilepsy or has had a seizure, talk to a doctor before playing. Turn on Reduce flashing (on the agreement screen or in Settings > Legal) or iOS Reduce Motion to tone flashes down. Stop at once if you notice dizziness, altered vision, eye or muscle twitching, loss of awareness, disorientation or any involuntary movement.

5. Set up a safe space, every time

•Clear at least 2 m (6.5 ft) all around you, including above your head and behind you.
•Nothing breakable nearby: move away from TVs, glass, windows, lamps, shelves, tables and doors.
•No people, children or pets within reach while you play.
•A dry, flat, non-slip floor. Wear supportive athletic shoes, or play barefoot on a non-slip surface. No socks on smooth floors. Keep cables and rugs out of the way.
•A stable phone mount or stand that cannot tip, slide or fall, at about chest height and about 2 m away. Never punch toward the phone, a TV or any object.
•Good lighting, and enough ceiling height to raise your arms fully.
•Do not play near stairs, balconies, pools, roads, or anywhere a fall could be serious.

The app shows a quick safety check ("Clear space? Phone stable? Feeling OK?") before the first fight of a session. Take it seriously, even when you are in a hurry.

6. During exercise

•Warm up for a few minutes first and cool down after.
•Stay hydrated. Drink water before, during and after. Rest between rounds.
•Go at your own pace. You never have to match the opponent's speed. Pause any time. Use Seated or Low-impact mode if standing play is too much.
•Do not exercise when ill, very tired, after alcohol or drugs, or soon after a large meal.
•Keep fists relaxed and do not lock your elbows; full-speed punches into the air can strain joints.
•If you use a heart rate monitor, the app may show a "Take a breather" banner when your heart rate stays above an age-predicted maximum (220 minus the age you entered, or 185 bpm if you entered none) for 30 seconds. This is a reminder only. It can be wrong, late or missing, and it does not replace listening to your body or your doctor's advice.

7. Minors

Punch Champ is not for children under 13. Teens aged 13 to 17 need a parent or guardian's permission, and an adult should supervise their play, check the space, and make sure they stop when tired or unwell.

8. Estimates are not medical measurements

Calories burned, heart rate zones, punch power, punch speed, accuracy, form scores and all other numbers are estimates for fun and motivation. Calories are estimated from your body weight, active time and punch rate using standard exercise energy (MET) values, blended with a published heart rate equation when a monitor is connected. Heart rate itself comes only from your Apple Watch or external monitor, never from the camera. These numbers can be inaccurate and must not be used for medical, diagnostic, weight loss treatment or safety decisions.

9. Exercise waiver

By ticking the boxes and tapping "I Agree" in Punch Champ, you confirm that you have read this notice, that you are fit to exercise or have checked with a doctor, and you agree to the Assumption of Risk, Release and Waiver of Claims, Indemnification, Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability in Sections 9 to 13 of the Punch Champ Terms of Use, which are incorporated here.

YOU UNDERSTAND THAT BOXING-STYLE EXERCISE CARRIES RISKS OF INJURY, INCLUDING FALLS, COLLISIONS, STRAINS, OVEREXERTION, SEIZURES AND CARDIAC EVENTS, AND YOU VOLUNTARILY ACCEPT THOSE RISKS TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
